Dr. Rajan Venkatesh is the Managing Director and the Chief Executive Officer. He joined Laxmi in April 2023.
Rajan obtained his Master of Science in Chemistry from the Institute of Chemical Technology in Mumbai in 1999, and later moved to the UK to pursue higher studies. He completed Master of Philosophy in Polymer Science and Technology from the University of Manchester in 2000. He later enrolled at the Eindhoven University of Technology in The Netherlands and graduated in 2004 with a Doctor of Philosophy in Polymer Chemistry.
Dr. Rajan has dealt with diverse cultures during his professional journey. He has had the opportunity to work across different markets and cultures. He was with BASF for two decades where he led various businesses, functions and large scale projects across Germany, Singapore, India and Hong Kong.
In his last assignment before Laxmi, Dr. Rajan served as Senior Vice President, Care Chemicals, Asia Pacific responsible for P&L and general management for key customer relations, sales, marketing, HR, controlling, supply chain, related production site (eight sites), R&D, sustainability, investments/M&A, joint venture management for markets including Greater China, ASEAN, South Asia, Japan, Korea and ANZ.
He has nine years of experience in the chemicals industry. He leads the business development initiatives of our Company.
He has a bachelors' degree in science from Babson College, Boston USA
Ms. Tanushree Bagrodia holds Bachelor of Computer Engineering degree from Vivekananda Education Society's Institute of Technology and an MBA from INSEAD, post which she started her career in finance. As an investment banker, she worked in London and Mumbai with large American, European, and Indian investment banks. In 2013 she transitioned to industry and became amongst the youngest women professional CFOs of a listed company in the country.
Her career of two decades spans geographies and sectors, including financial services, automotive and start-ups. Vast and varied experience has helped her develop a unique depth of business acumen, competencies, and leadership skills to lead businesses at varied stages of growth.
Ms. Tanushree Bagrodia is currently associated as a Nominee Director of International Finance Corporation (IFC) on the Board of Regency Healthcare – Kanpur and is a trustee of a 400-pupil strong English medium school in rural India.
S. Daipayan Bora , is the Chief Transformation Officer of our company. He is responsible for the human resources and transformation initiatives of our Company. He holds a masters of arts degree in personnel management & industrial relations from Tata Institute of Social Sciences. He joined Laxmi Organic Industries Limited in October 2018.
In the past, he was associated with companies like Kellogg India Private Limited, Lakme Lever Private Limited, and Cadbury India.
Jitendra Agarwal, is the President - Essentials. He joined Laxmi Organic Industries Limited in June 2018. He is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
He has over 27 years of experience in multi-domain such as finance, accounts, global procurement, supply chain, sales and marketing, operations and industrial relations and BU management. In the past, he was associated with Huhtamaki India Ltd, as head-strategic sourcing.
Virag Shah, is the Executive Vice President - Specialties. He joined Laxmi Organic Industries Limited in July 2020.
He holds a master’s degree of science in applied chemistry and master’s degree of business administration from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. He has over 18 years of experience in marketing, sales, business development of specialty chemicals, pharmaceutical intermediates and active pharmaceutical ingredients.
Dr. Ajay Audi, is the Executive Vice President - Research and Development. He joined Laxmi Organic Industries Limited in December 2013, and is responsible for synthesis and analytical developments of old and new molecules and intermediates of future prospects for our Company.
He holds a doctorate degree in science for a thesis in organic chemistry from University of Mumbai.
He has over 16 years of experience in the field of process developments and scale ups of Agro –AIs and Pharma – Active pharmaceutical ingredients.
In the past, he was associated with Gharda Chemicals Limited, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Limited in the capacity of senior research officer-bulk actives, and Arch Pharma labs Limited in the capacity of general manager-research and development.
Prashant Patil, is the Executive Vice President - Manufacturing. He joined Laxmi Organic Industries Limited in November 2016.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Mumbai University and post graduate diploma in materials management from Welingkar Institute.
He has over 31 years of experience in manufacturing, projects, and process engineering consultancy with speciality chemicals, petro chemicals, synthetic organic chemical industries.
